Kimesoft (“we,” “us”) builds simple, private tools for instructors, coaches, and teachers. This policy explains how our iOS apps Mastery Skill Tracker and Mastery Video Coach (the “Apps”) handle information. The short version: the Apps run on your device and we do not collect, see, or store your data on our servers.
The Apps have no accounts and no servers of ours. Everything you create — students or athletes, skills, categories, ratings, notes, photos, captured video moments, and reports — is stored locally on your device. We have no ability to access it.
If you are signed in to iCloud, the Apps store a copy of your database in your App’s private iCloud container so your data can move with you to a new device. This uses your own Apple iCloud account; the data stays within Apple’s iCloud and under your control. We cannot access your iCloud data. Apple’s handling of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud off for the App in iOS Settings at any time.
iOS asks your permission before the Apps can use Photos, Camera, or Microphone, and you can change these permissions any time in iOS Settings.
The Apps are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To manage subscription status and the free trial across your devices, we use RevenueCat as a service provider. RevenueCat receives the App Store purchase receipt and a random, anonymous identifier generated on your device — it is not linked to your name, email, or the content you create. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy for how they handle purchase data.
The Apps are intended for use by adult instructors, coaches, and teachers. Any information you enter about your students or athletes (which may include minors) — such as names, notes, photos, or video — is entered and controlled by you, stored locally on your device and in your own iCloud, and is never collected by or transmitted to us. You are responsible for handling that information appropriately and for obtaining any consents your organization or local laws require. To delete it, edit or remove the records in the App, or delete the App.
Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud, you control it completely. Deleting a record removes it; deleting the App removes its local data from that device (data already synced to iCloud can be removed by deleting the App’s data in iCloud settings). We retain nothing, because we store nothing.
The Apps are not directed to children for their own use and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children — on our servers, because the Apps do not send data to us.
We may update this policy as the Apps evolve. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, note them in the App or its App Store listing.
